The activities of the International Conference on Indonesian Higher Education Libraries (KPPTI) were held offline, in collaboration between the Central FPPTI (Indonesian Higher Education Library Forum) and the Riau Islands Region FPPTI, Batam Institute of Technology (ITEBA), and Batam Tourism Polytechnic (BTP). The theme of the 3rd KPPTI in 2024, namely “Policies, Libraries, and Artificial Intelligence: Managing Digital Technology to Enhance Higher Education Quality”. This theme is very important in formulating policies in the library sector regarding Artificial Intelligence (AI) in managing the development of digital technology to improve the quality of higher education in Indonesia.
The 3rd International Conference on Indonesian Higher Education Libraries (KPPTI) in 2024 succeeded in providing new insight into the important role of libraries in the digital era and how the right policies can facilitate the integration of advanced technology such as artificial intelligence (AI) in the education system. Implementing AI in libraries can accelerate digital transformation and make a significant contribution to improving the quality of higher education. However, successful implementation requires appropriate policy support, strengthening infrastructure, and developing adequate human resource capacity.
