The opening of UNRIKA’s 31st Anniversary was held on Monday, July 15, 2024. The opening began with a welcoming speech by Mrs. Endang Susanti, S.T., MT as Chair of the UNRIKA 31st Anniversary Committee, followed by a welcoming speech by UNRIKA’s Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Hj. Sri Langgeng Ratnasari, S.E., M.M and the Chair of the Foundation, Mr. Edwin Agung Wibowo, S.E., M.Comm. The opening of UNRIKA’s 31st Anniversary was also attended by the Head of the Batam City Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises Service, Mr. Hendri Arulan, S.Pd., M.M. The opening was carried out successfully by all the committee members and attendees and ended with the Cutting of the Ribbon for the Opening of the UNRIKA 31st Anniversary Bazaar Stand which was filled by MSMEs and the implementation of entrepreneurship courses for students of all faculties.
Along with the opening, on the first day there were also two competitions, namely the Band Festival and E-Sport Mobile Legends. The competition was held in two places at once where the Band Festival was held on the main stage of the 31st UNRIKA Diesnatalis and E-Sport Mobile legends was held in the Auditorium room.
With the ongoing commemoration of the 31st Anniversary of UNRIKA, hopefully the University of Riau Islands will achieve more, producing superior, creative and independent human resources, especially from the implementation of the independent campus which has been felt by students of course. At the age of 31, the University of Riau Islands is committed to making transformative breakthroughs to accelerate the improvement of the quality of higher education.
