As a form of LPTK’s readiness in implementing Pre-Service PPG and In-Service PPG in 2024, the Directorate of Professional Teacher Education (PPG), the Directorate General of Teachers and Education Personnel (Ditjen GTK), the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) together with the Chancellors PPG Organizing LPTKs carry out the Signing of Pre-Service PPG and In-Service PPG Cooperation Documents with PPG Organizing Universities. The activity was held on Tuesday, September 24 2024 at the Grand Sahid Jaya Hotel, Jakarta. On this occasion, representatives from the University of the Riau Islands were attended by the UNRIKA PPG Coordinator, Dr Jaya Dwi Putra, S.Pd., M.Pd.
Also present was the Director General of Teachers and Education Personnel, Prof. Dr. Nunuk Suryani, M.Pd. He said that PPG is a priority program of the Ministry of Education and Culture as part of the Merdeka Belajar program which focuses on transforming teacher education. The Director General of GTK further said that there is a need for collaboration from all stakeholders and cooperation programs that provide academic and non-academic support, so that the right forum is needed to support PPG’s transformational innovation breakthroughs.
The signing of the Cooperation Agreement was carried out by Plt. PPG Director: Ferry Maulana Putra, S.Pd., M.Ed. The implementation of the PPG program at LPTK requires a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) regarding the implementation and management of the PPG program. The Pre-Service PPG program itself has become an extraordinary offer for the younger generation to become teachers, and is very helpful in improving the quality of teachers.
