Riau Islands University successfully held a red and white flag-raising ceremony to commemorate the 79th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence, Saturday, August 17, 2024.
In order to commemorate the 79th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence, the red and white flag-raising ceremony was held at Riau Islands University for the first time. The ceremony was held in the parking lot in front of the auditorium on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 7:30 WIB. Attended by the Chairperson of the Foundation Mr. Edwin Agung Wibowo S.E., M.Comm., Advisory Member Mrs. Dini Anggraini, S.E, M.M., UNRIKA Chancellor Mrs. Prof. Dr. Hj. Sri Langgeng Ratnasari, S.E., M.M., as well as Deans, Heads of Study Programs, Secretaries of Study Programs and Lecturers from all Faculties at UNRIKA. All participants are required to wear school uniforms, traditional clothes, professional clothes or batik clothes. The ceremony was carried out successfully and satisfactorily.
After the flag-raising ceremony, it was continued with competitions to enliven August 17th. The competitions could be followed by all lecturers and education staff present at that time. Consisting of wire-to-rope hanger competitions, sack races, cracker-eating competitions, nail-in-a-bottle competitions, and clog competitions. All competitions were carried out with enthusiasm and excitement by all UNRIKA academicians.
