UNRIKA’s MoU with UK Petra

Higher education in Indonesia is faced with various important power relations in response to global developments and increasingly complex social demands. Responding to these challenges, the concept of “Independent Learning Campus Independent Learning” was introduced to provide more freedom to students in designing educational curricula and developing skills according to their interests. A key step in optimizing this concept is collaboration between universities. Most recently, the University of Riau Islands together with the Chancellor, Vice Chancellors I, II, III have collaborated with UK Perta Surabaya.

The purpose of this collaboration is to establish cooperation in implementing the “Independent Learning Independent Campus” activity. This program allows students from one university to study and learn at other partner universities. The Independent Campus Study Program (MBKM) not only provides freedom to students, but also the opportunity to gain a more diverse learning experience.

This collaboration is a positive first step towards the implementation of relevant and responsive higher education, adapting to the needs of the times. Through collaboration between universities, Indonesia can strengthen higher education infrastructure and produce a generation that is ready to face global challenges.
